My PC at work gets "stuck" whenever I try to quote a post over there.

Maybe the super ultra customized and sterilized version of XP on my sinister corporate issued laptop doesn't play well with that software.

Funny never had that problem until today though.

The quote thing over there is wonky sometimes & I'm still not sure why that security code thing shows up every so often. I'd understand if it were there all the time or if they had a spammer problem but that's not the case.

Hell, spammers might be welcomed!

And now they're saying Echo laid off people so that's why GID is screwed up.



Sucks that they laid folks off, but I have a feeling those problems aren't all due to cutbacks. GID is screwed up because they should've either done a normal CD/DVD release or just done a DL at PTG to begin with.

I'm glad I was waiting for the whole shebang to be released & not DL it track by track. I don't care if it's a DL or hard copy, I'd just like to have it period.

In the end, it's really simple:

Nobody on the website is going to take any responsibility for anything, or resolve anything.

We've seen promises for months now that they will resolve the forum issues, but what effort have we seen to do so?

When the site was taken down, it was done on the premise of having a "better site" , yet what did we end up with? The site might be a minor improvement, but overall, this is not a better user experience.

I feel bad for the mods there, they have less than zero power & capabilities & are just stuck in the middle.

Sometimes the Super Mecha Scary Boss (in this case that'd be Roger) doesn't know what's going on underneath his own nose because, well, he doesn't need to know because he's the Super Mecha Scary Boss & he's got other fish to fry so to speak & underlings like Mecha Scary Boss & Scary Boss & THEIR minions to keep shit straight. Though it's lookin' like Mecha & Scary & the minions ain't doin' so hot.

We do it all the time here, keep stuff from certain bosses & go around them and THEN go to them with the end product because we KNOW they'll micromanage or screw it up royally making more work for us. OR we just don't tell them cause they'd freak right the hell out & heads would roll & just take care of it ourselves.

Maybe heads would roll in the right direction if the right people knew.

I dunno, that stupid belly ring hit me the wrong way for some reason. I know people of all ages have those things now but I'd venture to guess that the 30-40somethings that make up the majority of the RCPM fanbase DON'T have them.

I don't want a belly ring, I want a usuable board that moves at a decent pace & a better NMBW shirt that doesn't look like it's been through the ringer before I even wear it.

Usually if we need Super Mecha Scary Boss to do something we go through other channels. I work for a family business where Dad is CEO & 73, & the 3 sons are Pres & VPs so if we need dad to stop something we'll say to the sons "hey your dad is using a billion color copies, THAT'S why the count is so high on the color printer" then they give him crap about it & it ceases.

I don't know what the answer is outside of me grabbing on to Roger & holding him down &....wait...that's not the answer, that's a filthy sex dream I had about him.....nevermind.

Looks like you may get more traffic here when the new NEW board over there comes up.
