Default What ELSE do you guys listen to?

I really dig Seven Mary Three, Wilco, the Drive-By Truckers, THE BLACK CROWES, the Grateful Dead, Jason Isbell, Centro-Matic, Gram Parsons, My Morning Jacket, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley & the Wailers, Lucero, the Dexateens, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, the Old 97s....tons of stuff.....lots of classic rock and "outlaw"/alternative country.

Maybe in this thread we can post stuff like youtube links and links to downloads of other music?

What do you think, Tom?

p.s. I got my mom into the Rog...haha.....

heh, what'd she think of the Rog?

I have no problem with posting links, that's the whole reason of this specific forum, discussion of NON RCPM music .

What else do I lisetn to, personally? A variety of stuff, from Black Label Society to Metallica to, well, a number of other artists. With over 80G of (legal) music ripped from CD's, you've got to expect that my library contains a pretty large assortment of stuff, and that's NOT counting the shows and stuff I've put on either fansite I run, Add those in and you've got well over 100G of music. Put all THAT on an Ipod and click 'shuffle', I dare ya!

Thumbs down

Mom totally digs the Peacemakers/Refreshments stuff...more of an RCPM fan, though...but she loves it all.

Random music thought....but it relates to the thread.....

I STILL can't get over how unbelievably awesome the latest Wilco record, Sky Blue Sky, is and how it keeps making its way back into cd player rotation......Same with the last Seven Mary Three record, I always notice some little detail each time I listen to it (them).

Carry on!

Lately I've been obsessed with Janis Joplin & The Clash. I just read a Joplin bio so that explains that but the Clash, not sure where that came from.

I have been jamming to a lot of older stuff. I think I have Tom Petty, Boston and some stuff I listened to in High school in the car currently. I have been listening to the new Buckcherry album also, while some people think it sucks I have found that it is fun to sing along to and just drive around to.

Lately , in prep for concerts, a LOT of Toby Keith (hey, don't laugh now!) and Nickelback. Over the next couple days that'll switch to Disturbed for Saturday night's show and then a few days of Black Label for Tuesday.

Talk about a diverse field of music.

Who do I USUALLY listen to? That really depends on the day, and the mood I'm in. Everything from BLS to Motley Crue to RCPM (not so much lately for some reason though) to true Metallica to Disturbed. It really depends on the day and what I'm doin

I usually listen to RCPM/Refreshments at work because I've got a pic of me & Roger as my desktop pic & when everyone asks "Is that your husband" I can either lie & say yes or say "No it's THIS guy..." & turn up my speakers & try to figure out how to explain the band & music.

Listened to Janis agin this morning. I need to break out my Jesus Christ Superstar album tomorrow since we're going to see the musical Sat. nite.

I looooves me some Ted Neeley!

When not listening to RCPM etc., I spend a good bulk of my time listening to something with a smile.... Stephen Lynch (and the whole Stephen Lynch channel at pandora.com), Weird Al, and as of late a lot of the Arrogant Worms (thanks to Pandora for showing me that little gem). And of course my other all-time guilty pleasure, the Honeydogs (especially the older rockabilly stuff), though that's usually just about the music right there.
